Ben Kuroki fought racism to be the only Japanese American to serve in the Army Air Corps in Europe. He survived 30 dangerous bombing missions in Europe and then returned home to urge Japanese Americans to serve in the fight against fascism.

Author Gregg Jones not only tells the story of Kuroki's heroism in the air but also the conditions on the ground in the United States, particularly at Heart Mountain, where the draft resister movement had gained momentum. Find the book here:
