Donate to the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation
Your contributions help us to continue the important work of the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation, including maintaining & staffing the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center and Mineta-Simpson Institute, hosting special exhibits and events, caring for our collection of original artifacts & documents, and preserving historic structures from the Heart Mountain camp.
We have numerous ways to give, from donations to incorporating Heart Mountain into your planned giving. Look through the different areas below for more information about our organization and how to donate.

Interpretive Center
The Interpretive Center preserves and memorializes the Heart Mountain World War II Japanese American Confinement Site, educates the public about the illegal imprisonment of Japanese Americans during World War II, and supports research to highlight lessons relevant to preserving liberty and civil rights today.

Mineta-Simpson Institute
The Mineta-Simpson Institute at Heart Mountain fosters empathy, courage, and cooperation through workshops and programs. Honoring the friendship of Secretary Norman Mineta and Senator Alan Simpson, who met at the Heart Mountain confinement site, the Institute promotes collaboration and enhances the Foundation’s global outreach. It officially opened in January 2025.

Ensure the future sustainability of the Foundation, our museum, and our National Historic Landmark.
The Memory and Justice Endowment is a lasting gift to the future — a permanent fund to sustain the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation for decades to come as we preserve the voices and experiences of Japanese Americans incarcerated during WWII at Heart Mountain.
Time is slipping away. The Nisei, who carry these memories, are leaving us. We must act now to honor their stories, protect their legacy, and ensure the injustices they endured are never forgotten.
