Press Registration Policy
All members of the press must pre-register in order to obtain access to events and special considerations afforded to the press, such as reserved seating and access to guests, speakers and dignitaries for the purpose of interviews, photographs and video.
Press registrants must be working or on assignment for regularly distributed news publications, programs or online news sites, and must be prepared to submit verification of editorial credentials or assignments if requested. We welcome anyone to apply for press credentials but reserve the right to deny you admittance as a media representative. If you do not meet these qualifications, we invite you to register as a general attendee. General attendees are NOT permitted access to guests, speakers and dignitaries for the purpose of interviews, photographs and video intended for public or private distribution. The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation reserves the right to exclude any person or organization from its events.
Please request in advance any specific interviews you may wish to conduct so that we can arrange a convenient time and location. Please also let us know about any other requests you may have, such as electrical and audio hookups and Internet access. As the planned events are outdoors, there will not be a "press room" available. However, we will do our best to accommodate you. Please advise us well in advance of any special requests.
All media representatives must pre-register for Grand Opening events in order to operate as members of the press. Once on site, pre-registered press members must present a valid photo ID. Onsite media registration will not be granted. The deadline to register is August 15, 2011, but early registration is encouraged to ensure press seating and special requests.
Note: Press registration is reserved for working members of the media only. This includes editors, reporters, producers, camera crews and still photographers. We reserve the right to modify this policy without notice and to revoke previously issued registration at any time. Freelancers and video production companies must be on assignment for a legitimate news organization and submit letters of assignment authorized and signed by an official of that news organization on company letterhead. IDs from press membership organizations are not sufficient for verification. Registration will not be granted to advertising sales representatives, marketing and public relations executives or anyone whose principal purpose for attending is, in our judgment, for reasons other than covering them as working press.
